Your OpportunityBDO Canada is looking for an Intermediate Accountant to join the Financial Reporting & Insights team and own the following responsibilities:
- Prepare compilation engagements, in addition to corporate tax returns for clients in a variety of businesses and non‑profit enterprises
- Build effective working relationships with client contacts and respond effectively to client requests
- Prepare trust returns and trust working papers
- Prepare tax returns (T1s, T2s, T4s, T5s, GST/HST and charity returns)
- Ensure that all significant engagement matters are documented and brought to the attention of the Manager/Partner, as well as keep them informed of the progress of the engagement
- Follow up with appropriate government agencies on questions relating to payroll, assessments, GST, business numbers, etc.

- Currently working toward your CPA designation
- You have a degree and/or diploma in accounting, finance or a relevant field
- You have 1+ years of accounting experience in the public accounting industry or relevant work experience
- You have experience with compilations, and preparing tax returns
- You value teamwork, client service, and quality in detailed work
- You display strong problem‑solving, analytical, and communication skills
