The successful candidate will be joining us on the Centre Block Rehabilitation Project – one of Canada’s largest and most iconic historic building projects.

• Confidently lead a team through the completion of a bid process under pressure while building strong relationships with sub‑trades
• Assemble accurate, timely and well‑organized estimates, including hard‑bid, construction management and design‑build
• Organize sub‑contractor quotes when the bid is successful, re‑writing binders and assisting the buy‑out process
• Monitor the success of a project, noting potential challenges and building relationships with sub‑trades for future opportunities
• Distribute sub‑trade quotes to personnel, flagging areas of concern and coordinating with management to accommodate risk within the bid price
• Maintain databases, including labour rates, material pricing and project costs, for future reference

• You have a construction‑related degree/diploma and a minimum of 1 year of estimating ICI projects
• Ability to use Auto Cad is an asset
• You have a working knowledge of corporate objectives impacting estimating, estimating strategies and techniques, and construction contracts
• Estimating experience in P3, Design Build, Design Build Facilities Management, Lump Sum, and Construction Management contracts is essential
• You have the ability to work effectively and accurately in time‑sensitive situations within a team
• Be comfortable working autonomously, while providing updates when needed, and following Ellis Don procedures at all times
• Must be eligible for Reliability Clearance
