The successful candidate will be joining us on the Centre Block Rehabilitation Project - one of the largest buildings projects in Canada on of our most iconic & historic buildings.
You as an Estimator will:
Confidently lead a team through the completion of a bid process under pressure while building strong relationships with sub-tradesAssemble accurate, timely and well organized estimates, including hard-bid, construction management and design-buildOrganize sub-contractor quotes when the bid is successful, re-writing binders and assisting the buy-out processMonitor the success of a project, noting potential challenges and building relationships with sub-trades for future opportunitiesDistribute sub-trade quotes to personnel, flagging areas of concern and coordinating with management to accommodate risk within the bid priceMaintain databases, including labour rates, material pricing and project costs, for future referenceIs this the right role for you?
You have a construction-related degree/diploma and a minimum of 1 year of estimating ICI projectsAbility to use Auto Cad is an assetYou have a working knowledge of corporate objectives impacting estimating, estimating strategies and techniques, and construction contractsEstimating experience in P3, Design Build, Design Build Facilities Management, Lump Sum, and Construction Management contracts is essentialYou have the ability to work effectively and accurately in time-sensitive situations within a teamBe comfortable working autonomously, while providing updates when needed, and following Ellis Don procedures at all timesMust be eligible for Reliability ClearanceEllis Don is proud to provide this unique career opportunity that provides continuous learning, opportunity for growth, and a competitive compensation package within an environment that is committed to inclusion and respects diversity.
