Job Description

Our government client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Physician specializing in Marine Occupational Health
. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive healthcare services to marine workers, ensuring their physical and mental well-being while adhering to industry regulations and standards.

Remote

1 year contract + 4 option years (approx. 125 days per year)

Reliability level of security clearance

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct pre-employment, periodic, and return-to-work medical examinations for marine personnel.

Diagnose and treat occupational injuries and illnesses specific to the marine environment.

Develop and implement health and safety programs tailored to marine operations.

Advise on occupational health policies and workplace hazard prevention.

Collaborate with marine organizations, regulatory bodies, government agencies and other healthcare professionals.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Medical degree (MD or DO) with a valid unrestricted medical license.

Minimum one (1) year of experience providing patient medical care

Extensive knowledge of international and/or domestic occupational health standards and industry best practices

Minimum five (5) years of experience delivering marine occupational health medicine.

Depth of experience providing consultative services to stakeholders, clients and partners.
