Job Description

The Sr Hardware Designer (Systems) contractor role is an onsite position in Ottawa, ON, with potential travel to Montreal or Toronto for verification testing. In this role, you will contribute to the development of a custom embedded computing system for a military application. Your responsibilities will include supporting the design, verification, and deployment-to-manufacturing of new hardware and system designs, enhancing and maintaining existing systems, analyzing requirements to develop solutions, generating accurate user and design documentation, and creating, reviewing, and executing verification test plans.

You will collaborate with a dynamic engineering team to advance cutting-edge embedded systems technology.

Work Environment

This position requires onsite presence in Ottawa, 5 days a week, with core working hours from 9 AM to 4 PM. The workday is 8 hours long, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. Candidates must be willing to potentially travel to Montreal or Toronto for compliance testing, staying 2-3 weeks out of town if labs are unavailable in Ottawa. Hotel costs will be covered.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $80.00/hr.
