The successful candidate will be performing at a Senior Transportation Design Engineer level providing expertise on Parsons’ projects including the study, planning, functional, preliminary, and detailed design of transportation infrastructure, as well as providing engineering services during construction. The project focus may include complete streets, arterial roads, highways, pathways, cycling facilities, railways, rapid transit facilities, and other systems related to transportation.
Projects may be municipal, provincial, federal, or private in nature, or delivered through alternative means. The candidate will be in a position to either manage projects and/or lead coordinate the planning & design portions of projects, and/or contribute to construction services assignments as a subject matter expert in civil engineering and/or infrastructure construction.

PREFERRED EDUCATION/
EXPERIENCE:
4-year degree in Civil Engineering or degree in a related engineering discipline is required and 8 to 15 years of related work experience, or equivalent, is preferred. Incumbent should have a broad general technical and business background. Professional registration as an Engineer in Ontario is required.
SKILLS/COMPETENCIES
:
The incumbent will have the opportunity, in the fullness of time, to meet Parsons' project management certification requirements. Proven ability to perform in a management capacity, excellent written and oral communications skills, ability to work with diverse stakeholders, and a thorough knowledge of industry practices, guidelines and regulations are also required. In addition, must be knowledgeable of current project management approaches and how they can be effectively utilized to deliver successful projects.
Proficiency in English (oral and written) is required.
