Lead public affairs and advocacy initiatives for Intact Financial Corporation, advising senior leaders on political and policy issues affecting Canadian markets. The role offers hybrid work arrangements.
This Manager, Government Relations position supports IFC’s government relations strategy and organizational influence. You will work across Legal, Climate, Social Impact, Communications, and other business areas. Your work will address federal and provincial governments, regulatory bodies, nongovernmental organizations, trade associations, and stakeholder groups.
Key Responsibilities:- Identify and analyze relevant public policy initiatives
- Provide counsel to senior leaders and business units
- Oversee strategic communications products and briefing materials
- Keep IFC lobbying registries accurate and current
- Manage two direct reports toward shared objectives
- At least eight years’ government or private-sector public affairs experience
- At least five years managing a team
- Ability to lobby federally is an asset
- Strong organization and workflow management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Use public affairs leadership, clear communication, and policy counsel to advance Intact’s objectives with Canadian decision makers.
