Cord3 Innovation Inc. is seeking an IT Administrator (Contract Position)to join our team!
Cord3 Innovation Inc. is seeking an IT Administrator Contractor to support our team on a 6-month engagement, with the possibility of extension. This role is ideal for a skilled IT professional who thrives in both Windows and Linux environments, and who is comfortable managing a hybrid on-premises/cloud infrastructure. In addition to day-to-day IT administration, this contract will include a key project: the relocation of our IT infrastructure to a new office location, including the setup of wired work spaces, Wi-Fi, and core IT services.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and maintain Windows and Linux-based IT infrastructure (on-premises and cloud).
- Administer Microsoft 365, Active Directory (on-prem & Azure AD), and virtualized environments.
- Provide technical support to end-users and developers, troubleshooting system, network, and application issues.
- Oversee backups, system updates, and security configurations to ensure compliance with IT best practices.
- Manage network services (VPN, firewalls, DNS, DHCP) and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
- Support identity and access management (IAM), including provisioning, permissions, and MFA.
- Plan and execute the relocation of IT infrastructure to a new office, including wired and wireless networking setup.
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors for internet, networking, and infrastructure requirements.
- College or university diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years of hands‑on experience in IT administration, with expertise in Windows Server and Linux.
- Experience managing Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and cloud-based IT services.
- Knowledge of virtualization platforms (e.g., Proxmox, VMware).
- Familiarity with Azure Web App Services, Azure Storage, and identity federation (ADFS, SAML, OAuth).
- Strong understanding of networking (routing, firewalls, VPN, Wi‑Fi, DNS, DHCP).
- Experience setting up office IT infrastructure, including wired and wireless networks.
- Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills with technical and non‑technical audiences.
Must hold or be eligible for a Canadian Security Clearance.
Must reside in the Ottawa, Ontario area.
