Position SummaryCAE Defence & Security Canada is seeking a Cyber Implementation Specialist to lead the design, integration, and operationalization of cybersecurity solutions across all CAE D&S Canada programs. This role will be embedded within the D&S Canada architecture team, supporting project delivery and in‑service sustainment.
Key Responsibilities Cybersecurity Architecture & Implementation- Lead the implementation of cybersecurity controls and architecture for current and future programs.
- Translate contractual cybersecurity requirements (e.g., CDRLs, DIDs, Annex F matrices) into actionable architecture and implementation plans.
- Support the development and customization of reusable cybersecurity documentation templates for proposal and delivery phases.
- Serve as the primary cyber lead for current and future D&S Canada projects, ensuring alignment with DIMSecur/PSPC guidelines.
- Participate in working groups, technical reviews, and client engagements to represent CAE’s cybersecurity posture.
- Coordinate with engineering and IT teams to validate tools and ensure secure deployment of virtualized environments.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders (e.g., Digital Services, Engineering, Program Management) and external partners to ensure cybersecurity compliance.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior cyber staff and collaborate with the broader architecture team on cross‑project initiatives.
- Support in‑service cybersecurity operations, including vulnerability management, incident response planning, and compliance audits.
- Contribute to the development of SharePoint and Power BI content for cyber documentation and reporting.
- Current Government of Canada Security clearance.
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity architecture or implementation, preferably in defense or aerospace.
- Strong knowledge of Canadian government cybersecurity frameworks and DND/PSPC compliance requirements, specifically NIST 800‑171, 172, ITSG‑33 and CCCS‑M.
- Experience with virtualized environments (e.g., VDI, VMware), network segmentation, and secure cloud (e.g., Azure Protect
B) deployments. - Experience with security technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, SIEM, and endpoint protection.
- Experience supporting Government of Canada defense programs.
- Familiarity with military simulation and training environments.
- French is an asset, but the working language will be English.
