Background:
Our Public Sector client requires a Senior Systems Administrator (Secret cleared) to assist with a migration of their virtualization environment.

• 10+ years of experience as a Systems Administrator / IT Architect
• Available to work on‑site in Ottawa
• Active Secret Clearance (Absolute must have)
• Experience with the following technologies/tasks as a Systems Administrator or Architect
• MS Hyper‑V
  • SVCVMM (System Center Virtual Machine Manager)
  • Host Guardian Services (HGS) Shielding
  • SecureRDP
  • Storage Spaces Direct for Software‑Defined Storage
• VMWare
  • vSAN
  • vMotion
  • NFS Data stores

• Migration of the production environment utilizing the above‑mentioned tools and technologies.
• Support the virtualization environment and make necessary changes.
• Perform virtual environment and data replication and backups.
• Perform failover procedures of applications/services and data to the Disaster Recovery site.
• Analyze system performance and recommend improvements.
• Establish virtual server, virtual desktops and cloud hardware architectures and produce corresponding technical build documents.
