Job Description
Our client is seeking an experienced
Network Security Administrator to join their IT Systems group. This role is responsible for ensuring network security and compliance, as well as day-to-day administration, monitoring, and enhancement of network infrastructure. The successful candidate will be highly analytical, security-minded, and capable of working independently on complex tasks. Applicants must demonstrate past experience in similar roles.
Key Responsibilities:Ensure security and compliance of all network infrastructure.Develop and enforce security policies and best practices.Manage and execute network security projects from initiation to completion.Design and implement secure, scalable network solutions.Provide security awareness training across the organization.Configure and manage network and security hardware/software (firewalls, switches, SIEM tools, etc.).Monitor network security and performance daily, proactively identifying risks.Respond to security incidents and manage the incident response process.Perform threat and vulnerability assessments.Document configurations, procedures, and updates.Collaborate and transfer knowledge to other IT teams.Liaise with vendors and service providers.Provision, configure, and administer network devices and manage network growth.Qualifications:5+ years of experience as a Network Security professional
.At least 2 years of hands-on threat and risk assessment experience.Experience with Data Governance and security practices.Experience with Microsoft Fabric and AI protection (e.g., internal chatbots).Proficiency with network security technologies (firewalls, IPS/IDS, fabric security, governance).Familiar with 802.1x network access control
.Experience configuring and tuning SIEM and vulnerability tools.Solid hands-on data center networking and LAN/WAN management.Deep knowledge of networking protocols: TCP/IP, OSPF, VLANs, QoS, IPSec, etc.Hands-on experience with:Routing, switching
, and MPLSSwitch stackingMobility Controllers and Enterprise Wi-FiNetwork monitoring tools (e.g., Airwave)Experience with network policy servers
.Proficient in network analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark, Net Flow).Exceptional problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-project environment
.Flexible, self-starter with strong initiative.Certifications (Assets):CISSPCISACISMCCSPOr other recognized IT security/risk certifications
