Responsibilities

· The Contractor’sresourcesmayberequired,butarenotlimitedto,toperformthefollowing:

· Providedatabasesupportanddatabaseadministrationtasksonprojectsandoperations,Configureandoptimizethe Oracle
12cinfrastructure,

· Performnecessaryoptimizationstothedatabaseenvironment,investigateandresolvedatabaseperformanceproblems,

· Providesupporttoserviceprovidersanddevelopersonprojectsandoperations,Performdatabasesecurityadministrationandsupport,

· Administerdatabasesanddatabaseserversinmultipleenvironments,

· Establishanddocumentdatabaseprocessesandproceduresthatareapproved,

· Design,implement,andconfigurebackupandrecoverystrategiesforallenvironments,Monitor Oraclelicensingrequirementswiththesupportagreement,

· Liaisewith Shared Service Canadaregardingtheserverenvironmentsandvarious Requestsfor Change (RFCs),

· Provideguidance,adviceandrecommendationsonanydatabaserelatedinitiativestoservicesproviders,Provide recommendations to the Technical Authority and Senior Management on way forward for GACapplicationsusing Oracledatabases,

· Providestatusupdatestothe Technical Authority ,

· Analyzethepossibilitiesofupgradingtoamorerecentversionof Oracle(i.e.Oracle
19c),Potentiallyupgradetoamorerecentversionof Oracle,

· Knowledgetransfertoexistingstaff.

Qualifications

· Mustdemonstratethattheproposedresourceis

holdinga current, valid Government of Canada (SECRET) orhighersecurityclearanceatthedateandtimeofthe

RFPbidclosing.

Thefollowinginformationmustbe providedbythebidderforeachproposedresource:

Nameoftheindividualasitappearsonsecurityclearanceapplicationform.

· Levelofsecurityclearanceobtained.

· Validityperiodofsecurityclearanceobtained.

· Security Screening Certificateand Briefing Formfilenumber .

· Nameoftheentityunderwhichthesecurityclearancewasobtained.

· Mustdemonstratethattheproposedresourcehas

ten(10) yearsofexperienceasa

Database Administratorusing Oracle  v10g & above; includinginstalling, configuring, tuning,troubleshootingand upgrading Oracle relational databasemanagementsystems(RDBMS).

· Mustdemonstratethattheproposedresourcehas

two (2) years of experienceas a Database Administrator usingOraclev
12c&above;includinginstalling,configuring,tuning,troubleshootingand upgrading Oracle relational databasemanagementsystems(RDBMS).

· Mustdemonstratethattheproposedresourcehas

two(2) yearsofexperienceinstalling,configuringandtroubleshooting

Oracle Cloud Control
12corabove.

· Mustdemonstratethattheproposedresourcehastwo(2) yearsofexperienceapplyingperformancemonitoring

/tuningtechniquesandproceduresusing

Oracle Cloud Control
12corabove.

· Must demonstrate thatthe proposed resource hastwo (2) years of experience as a Database Administrator using

Microsoft

SQLServer;includinginstalling,configuring,tuning,troubleshootingand upgrading MS relational databasemanagementsystems(RDBMS).

· Must provide at leasttwo (2) recent references(withinthepastfive(5) years) andrelatedprojectsthatcanvalidate the knowledge and experience ofthe proposedresource. Informationmust include Organization, contactname,contact telephone number, e-mail address, adescriptionof the projects and the date and duration of thecontract.

MUST CURRENTLY HOLD A VALID SECRET GOVERNEMNTCLEARENCE
