he impact you will have:
As an experienced leader, you’ll guide our capture motions and Bid Response team as we grow our Canadian public sector business. This includes coaching and mentoring our Bid Response team, along with leaning in to support the response motion for large and/or complex tenders.
In this role you will:
Lead and develop a team of Bid Response Specialists, providing coaching, mentorship, and performance feedback to ensure high-quality output and career growth.Oversee the end-to-end bid response process, setting priorities, allocating resources, and ensuring deadlines and compliance standards are met.Drive continuous improvement and scalability, implementing best practices, tools, and processes to enhance team efficiency and expand capabilities.Collaborate with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams, aligning bid strategies with business objectives and representing the team in key decision-making forums.Propose the best approach for RFQ/RFP responses in consultation with internal teams (Account Executives/Technical Pre-sales personnel).Ensure compliance on RFP responses and manage all communication, internal and external, scheduling strategy and review sessions to meet bid deadlines.Actively engage with public sector bid sources to locate future contract/tender opportunities.Create and manage an RFP content database, including executive summaries by technology/solution type, common questions, and a reference database.Participate in win/loss reviews and debrief calls to understand how to improve bid responses.Recommend bid management tools/processes to streamline and improve effectiveness.Lead cross-functional teams to meet client-driven requirements and deadlines.Who you will be working with:
This role will report to the Sr. Manager of Public Sector Programs, who oversees public sector contracting and manages day to day governance and reporting requirements.Our Public Sector Bid Response team helps to review and develop responses to LOIs, RFIs, RFPs, RFQs and all other requests for information related to growth and the development of our public sector business.Federal and Provincial sales leadership, along with our Account Executives and a variety of subject matter experts from across our businessWhat you'll bring to the table:
Minimum of 10 years of experience in working with Federal or Provincial bids7+ years of experience in bid management, proposal development, or a related field within public sector environments.3+ years of people leadership experience, including managing small teams and driving performance through coaching and development.Proven track record of leading complex, multi-stakeholder bid responses, ideally for large-scale or strategic opportunities.Strong background in project management and process improvement, with experience implementing tools and best practices to enhance efficiency.Familiarity with government procurement processes, RFP/RFI compliance, and competitive proposal strategies (if applicable to your sector).Understanding of Capture Plan preparation and execution of opportunity gate reviews.Experience with Teaming Agreement development and negotiations.Exceptional communication and personal skills, both written and verbalStrong analytical skills are requiredActive security clearance (secret or higher) is an assetPost-secondary degree or diploma in a related field.Not sure if you qualify?
