Telecommunications Analyst
We are seeking a Telecommunications Analyst to provide technical expertise to design, implement, and support Juniper-based components within a blended Cisco/Juniper classified network, including modernization of a Remote Access Solution and remote access gateways.
Tasks
The Contractor must support the design & integration activities for Juniper-based network components to integrate with existing Cisco infrastructure including supporting design and implementation activities for a secure remote access gatewaysDevelop and execute test plans for Juniper-based network components and remote access gatewaysDeploy and validate remote access gateways, ensuring interoperability with Cisco componentsAnalyze telecommunication system deficiencies and recommend cost effective solutions, such as: optimizations following network utilization and application characteristics analysisPerform load and stress testing to validate scalability and redundancyImplement routing, segmentation, security hardening and ACLs for secure classified traffic. The Contractor must ensure designs comply with security policies and CSNI operational requirementsThe Contractor must develop architecture diagrams and configuration standards for classified environmentsPrepare documentation, including network plans and drawings, equipment configurations, network strategic plans and architectures, test and evaluation plans, and in-service support standards and proceduresDeliver knowledge transfer sessions to departmental network operations teamsMaintain version-controlled documentation for all deployed componentsProvide detailed test reports and recommendations for optimizationParticipate in design, technical, and management reviews to monitor, advise, and report on progress and potential problems.Liaise with telecommunication sub-system technical groups to ensure system integrity, performance, reliability, and maintainabilityAnalyze and integrate telecommunication systems based on specific customer requirements and strategic plansAnalyze, integrate, verify, and provide recommendations on installation procedures, system design and/or system modifications to ensure industry standards and best practices are followedRequirementsMust clearly demonstrate 5 years’ experience within the past 10 years working on a Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) router-based Wide Area Network with 150+ router nodes providing the following:
Network Design, Router & Switch Configuration, Device Management; and Network Testing and TroubleshootingMust clearly demonstrate a minimum of five (5) years of experience in designing and installing networks using Juniper-based networking equipment. This includes configuration of Juniper Security Director and Juniper SRX-based devicesContract Duration:
