About The OpportunityAn industry-leading non-profit in one of Canada’s most dynamic and critical economic sectors is looking for a Manager, Information Technology to lead their entire IM/IT infrastructure from development to implementation to maintenance. This position will require the full range of IM/IT technical skills along with essential budgeting and project management capabilities in order to design and implement strategic programs to ensure optimized efficiency across the corporation’s operations.
While this person will possess complete ownership of the internal IM/IT landscape, this is a technical leadership role in nature and will not involve direct reports or people leadership.
Duties- Complete ownership of the internal IT function including the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures, digital transformation projects and budget oversight, external vendor management, etc.
- Conceptualization, management and execution of necessary IM/IT projects within schedule and on budget; identifying and utilizing internal and external resources/suppliers, etc.
- Software and hardware installations and configurations, Office 365 administration (SharePoint, Teams, etc.), data recovery and troubleshooting, etc.
- Management of IT asset inventory and continuous research into emerging industry trends, solutions, etc.
- Facilitating the support and technical training for staff on new business applications, IT systems, cybersecurity measures/solutions, etc.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Networking, or similar
- 8+ years of industry experience in an IT operations and technical support/system administration capacity within a Windows environment; ideally within a small team or nonprofit setting
- Experience leading a holistic IM/IT function managing everything from software and hardware systems, digital transformation projects, network administration, security protocols, etc.
- Extensive Office 365 knowledge/experience;
SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, etc. - Bilingualism in both official languages (English & French) is considered an asset
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills as well as the ability to thrive both in a team and autonomously
This is a permanent role with one of the region’s top employers. As this organization employs a hybrid work model, only candidates local to the Ottawa/NCR will be considered.
This client offers a generous compensation package that includes a competitive salary ranging between $110-$130K, RRSP-matching, annual bonus program, full benefits, etc.
