Your role

We are seeking a Lead Business Analyst to help the Corporation maximize value from its HRIS. The Lead Business Analyst will bridge business needs with technology solutions, act as a liaison between business partners and T&I resources, and lead solution life cycles—including analysis, development, configuration, testing, maintenance, and support—to support large corporate HR technology initiatives.

Reporting to the Senior Manager of the Legal P&C / SSC Solutions Portfolio, you will coordinate team work, coach analysts, and ensure portfolio alignment. You will raise potential issues to senior management, support integration and application development, lead testing activities, and create documentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary HRIS subject matter expert specializing in Workday integrations.
  • Manage solution design activities: requirements gathering, system analysis, and system design.
  • Provide support, assistance, guidance, and training to all analysts on the team.
  • Collaborate with the Workday functional team and portfolio Senior Manager to identify solutions for large corporate HR initiatives.
  • Participate in scrum ceremonies with developers and the scrum master.
  • Manage the analysts team workload, prioritizing tasks for scrum master and developers.
  • Support development or modification of integrations and applications.
  • Lead solution testing activities, including regression tests, unit tests, and user acceptance tests.
  • Develop solution-related documents such as processes, requirements, and procedures using plain text, flowcharts, and maps.
  • Handle third‑level escalations with vendors.
Candidate Requirements
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
  • 3 years of cross‑functional experience and hands‑on experience with HR Information Systems.
  • 3 years of experience with Workday Integrations.
  • Knowledge of Web Services: REST, API, XML, XSLT, SOAP, WSDL, JSON.
  • Experience with other integration techniques is an asset.
  • Knowledge of HR business processes and integration with other process areas (Finance, Production, etc.).
  • Experience in software integrations and software development principles.
  • Workday Integration Certification an asset.
  • Certification in project management (Scrum/Agile) an asset.
  • Independent, self‑motivated, and responsible.
  • Service‑oriented attitude.
  • Strong interpersonal problem‑solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Willingness to work outside normal business hours on a rare occasion (evenings and weekends).
  • Strong oral and written communication skills required to communicate technical and non‑technical issues to clients, service providers, and other groups.
  • Bilingual English and French an asset.
