Our client, a national law firm, seeks a registered Patent Agent with expertise in electrical engineering.

• Drafting patents in the electrical field
• Patent prosecution
• Business development
• Possible litigation support when required

• Advanced degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or software engineering
• Registered Canadian Patent Agent
• Minimum of 3 years experience as a Patent Agent
• Previous experience in a law firm, IP boutique, or in-house setting
• Excellent drafting skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• US Patent Agent qualification would be an asset
• Bilingualism is an asset but not required

This role offers an opportunity to join an established Patent Agency unit within a thriving national law firm. An existing book of business is an asset, but not required. A group of two or more Agents may also be considered. Salary ranges between $150,000 and $200,000, depending on experience. All applications will be held in strict confidence.
