Salary $32.63 to $35.46 per hour

Duties The GL-MAN-8 will be required to travel extensively with the RCMP Musical Ride during their 2026 tour and be responsible for the care of up to 30 horses, including upkeep of temporary stabling, feeding, grooming, cleaning stalls, handling horses, and watching for signs of illness or injury.
Intent of the process The intent of the process is to fill temporary positions on a casual basis (up to 90 days). Applicants will be contacted if the manager wishes to consider them further. Positions to be filled: number to be determined.

A casual worker is a person appointed for a period not exceeding 90 working days in one calendar year in any department or agency to which the Public Service Commission has exclusive authority to make appointments.
Conditions of employment- Reliability status security clearance.
- Willing and able to travel anywhere in Canada for an extended period of time between the months of July and September 2026 for either the majority or the entire tour.
- Willing and able to work shift work, involving a rotation of day and night shifts.
- Willing and able to work a flexible schedule, be on standby, or adjust schedule with little or no notice to meet operational requirements.
- Willing and able to work overtime.
- Willing and able to work on weekends and statutory holidays.
- Willing and able to lift, carry and/or push heavy or awkward items, weighing up to 25 kilograms.
- Possession of a valid unrestricted driver's license.
- Willing and able to drive a standard size vehicle.
- Willing and able to adapt to new and unfamiliar work environments both indoors and outdoors, where there is contact with dust, dirt, odours, noise, smooth surfaces, dampness, crowds, or extremes of hot and cold temperatures.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
