Position: Custodian / Janitor
Location: Carleton Place

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and order within our facilities, showroom, and offices, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all employees and visitors. This position requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Main

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting in various areas of the facility, showroom, and offices.
  • Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, break rooms, and common areas by regularly sanitizing surfaces and restocking supplies.
  • Handle waste disposal by collecting trash and recycling materials in accordance with company policies.
  • Conduct minor facilities maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs and reporting any maintenance issues to management.
  • Ensure that all cleaning equipment is properly maintained and stored after use.
  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines while performing cleaning duties to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Assist with special projects or events that require additional cleaning or setup support.
    • Requirements
  • Previous experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services is preferred but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
  • Knowledge of facilities maintenance practices is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Good physical stamina; must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Must be reliable, punctual, and possess a strong work ethic.
