Building Services Technician

The Opportunity:

We are looking for a Building Services Technician to join our team s role plays an important part in keeping our facilities clean, organized, and safe for our employees and visitors. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, is detail‑oriented, and enjoys a hands‑on, active role that supports day‑to‑day operations at the shop.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform daily cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting in offices, kitchen areas, washrooms, and common spaces.
• Clean and restock washrooms and kitchen supplies regularly.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the shop, including equipment areas and workstations.
• Dispose of garbage and recycling safely and efficiently.
• Support general labour activities such as moving equipment, organizing materials, and assisting with minor maintenance tasks.
• Clean shop systems and equipment as directed.
• Report any maintenance or safety issues promptly to the Shop Manager.
• Follow all workplace health, safety, and environmental protocols.

• Previous experience in janitorial, custodial, or general labour roles preferred.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, standing, and operating cleaning equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a safe and clean environment.
• Positive attitude and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Currently holds or is eligible to obtain a minimum Reliability Status security clearance.
• A valid Ontario driver’s license.
