We're looking for a motivated, quality-driven Cleaner to join our team on a casual basis. The Cleaner/Housekeeper will ensure a sanitary environment, securing and maintaining tools/equipment used to perform the day to day work and performing other duties as assigned or requested.
Must be able to obtain reliability clearance.
Perform thorough cleaning of all assigned areas, including floors, washrooms, and common spaces, offices and entrancesMaintaining the floors; vacuuming carpets and dry/wet mopping floorsDusting all visible surfaces within reach which includes counter tops, pillars, lighting fixtures, window ledges and ventsWipes and polishes office furniture and glass windowsSpot cleaning walls, partitions, light switches and doorsOperate various cleaning equipment and machines efficiently and safelyMaintain and replenish cleaning supplies and restroom essentialsEmpty and clean waste bins, ensuring proper waste disposalSanitize high-touch areas to maintain a hygienic environmentReport any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisorAdhere to all safety protocols and cleaning standardsQualifications
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Previous experience in commercial or industrial cleaning preferredProficiency in operating cleaning equipment and machines (e.g., auto scrubber, swing machine, burnisher) is an assetWHMIS certification or willingness to obtain (training can be provided)Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workExcellent time management and organizational skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamPhysical stamina to lift up to 25 lbs, bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods (8 hours per shift)Positive attitude and strong work ethicClear criminal background check required
