Adecco is currently hiring a temporary full-time diligent and reliable Material Handler to join our client’s manufacturing team in Kanata, ON. In this role you will be responsible for efficiently managing the movement, storage, and distribution of materials and products. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

    18.00/hour

  • Responsibilities:

  • Performs a variety of kitting and order functions.

  • Assists with interplant transfers.

  • Door Service (PLR); works with company inventory system.

  • Transfers excess material between customers.

  • Performs cycle count activities.

  • Maintains and updates policies and procedures and trains others as required.

  • Recommends process improvements.

  • Picks and packs products for customer shipments.

  • Puts stock away in the warehouse.

  • Resolves discrepancies and recommends changes to processes to reduce future discrepancies.

  • Maintains warehouse workspace and environment.

  • Replenishes raw material using a variety of established replenishment methods.

  • Expedites shortages or potential shortages in order that manufacturing and/or customer orders can be satisfied in a timely fashion.

  • Enters and verifies the accuracy of all inventory transactions and corrects errors.

  • Completes the set up of new cells or assemblies to back flush.

  • Safely operates material handling and processing equipment. Complies with company safety policies and Occupational Health and Safety Act.

  • May assist in other activities as required.

  • Qualifications:

  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada

  • High School or equivalent

  • 0-1 year experience in a warehouse or electronics related environment.

  • Excellent organizational skills.

  • Able to work well independently. Unusual issues are raised to Team Lead.

  • Excellent PC skills are required.

  • Able to communicate and follow processes in English.

  • Basic math skills.

  • Hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
