Bayshore Medical Personnel is actively searching for a highly motivated Full-Time Mental Health Registered Nurse with three (3) years of experience to join our team in Ottawa, ON.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Mental Health Nurse seeking a Monday - Friday schedule with day shifts only (no nights, no weekends), and who is ready for a rewarding challenge working with a unique patient population.

Our Mental Health Nurses (MHNs) provide mental health services in a primary health care setting, including assessment, nursing diagnosis, care plan development and implementation, crisis intervention, counseling, and life skills programming.

Key responsibilities include providing counseling in individual and group therapy sessions using CBT, DVT, or motivational interviewing techniques, conducting bio-psychosocial assessments, and managing medications from inpatient and outpatient perspectives.

Education / Qualifications

• All Nurses - Mental Health must be Registered Nurses or Registered Psychiatric Nurses.
• Registered Nurses must possess:
• A Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing from a recognized institution with certification in Mental Health Nursing or Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing from the CNA.
• A Registered Nurse license from the provincial or territorial professional college or association.
• Certificate of Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers or equivalent.
• Resuscitation/Automated External Defibrillator (CPR/AED) Level C, with annual recertification.
