• Administer medications (IM, SC and IV) in home or specialty clinic settings.
• Support and monitor IV infusion treatments in the clinic and/or homecare setting.
• Monitor post-injection/infusion treatments; chart and report activities as directed by protocol.
• Provide patient education based on program protocols, individually or in groups.
• Report adverse events, serious adverse events, product complaints in accordance with training and policies.
• Coordinate daily with patients, case managers, physicians, scheduling and other departments to meet established timelines.
• Perform administrative duties such as monthly clinic audits, supply ordering and other duties as assigned.
• Participate regularly in team web-based meetings/training sessions to maintain professional practice standards.
• Consult with physicians, pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients regarding education and implementation of product specific programs.
• Required to travel within designated IBU and surrounding IBUs to meet operational needs.
• May be required to be on standby/on call to meet service needs.

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Registered Practical Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Experience with IV therapy is an asset.
• Diploma/University degree in nursing or related field.
• Current registration with provincial licensing body; CPR certificate.
• Experience in acute care inpatient/outpatient or homecare setting.
• ACLS, PALs, MS and CVAA Certification, and central venous lines/port experience are considered assets.

• Effective organizational skills; attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to work in a team and independent setting.
• Able to travel within a geographical boundary.
• Hold and maintain a valid, non-expired, unrestricted driver’s license and insurance coverage.
