Carecor is looking for dedicated and compassionate Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to support one of our client locations in Ottawa, Ontario. We are looking for someone that is flexible, compassionate, and skilled in acute care. The Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) provides safe, client-focused care under the direction of the Charge Nurse or RN, following CNO standards and facility protocols. Responsibilities include responding to emergencies, supporting patients and families, maintaining a clean and safe environment, ensuring accurate documentation, and collaborating with healthcare teams. The RPN demonstrates professionalism, adaptability, and reliability while working in a dynamic acute care setting.

• Respond promptly to emergencies and follow established procedures.

• Perform phlebotomy procedures and administer vaccines in clinic settings, ensuring adherence to safety and infection control protocols.

• Exchange accurate shift reports and report incidents or changes in patient condition.
• Document care according to CNO and facility standards.
• Maintain professional appearance and behavior; attend required training and meetings.
• Adapt to changing patient needs, work effectively under pressure, and demonstrate reliability.
• Collaborate with diverse healthcare professionals and exhibit flexibility and social sensitivity.

• Registered Practical Nurse Diploma
• Recent agency experience required - potential sign on bonus
• Current Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) licensure in good standing with the College of Nurse of Ontario
• Minimum of 300 hours of experience in a medical-surgical Long Term Care setting within the past two years
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Current N95 Mask Fit Test Certificate
• Proof of current immunization for measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (MMRV), tetanus, pertussis, polio, hepatitis B
