Registered Practical Nurse - Permanent Part-Time - Days | 30 hours biweekly

We are looking for a Registered Practical Nurse at Sienna Senior Living to join our Granite Ridge Community in Stittsville, Ottawa. This role is a permanent part-time position, days schedule, 30 hours biweekly. Rate of pay: $27.67 - $30.54 (as per collective agreement).

Reporting to the Director of Care, the Registered Practical Nurse plays a critical role in impacting the lives of residents.

• Provide nursing care in accordance with established policies, physician’s orders, resident plan of care, and within the scope of practice of an RPN/LPN.
• Utilize sound nursing practice principles to ensure delivery of excellent nursing and personal care.
• Create a welcoming and supportive environment for residents through teamwork and effective communication with staff.
• Oversee resident care, including regular communication with residents and their families, and provide guidance to staff.
• Supervise Personal Support Workers/Unregulated team members assigned to the unit.
• Handle admissions, readmissions, and change in status, and provide ongoing assessment to residents.

• A Registered Practical Nurse in good standing with the Ontario College of Nurses.
• Experience in Geriatrics, Rehabilitation and/or the senior health industry is an asset.
• You have good judgement, the ability to identify risk and can foster a positive work environment.
