Senior Quality Specialist at Syntronic Production Services Canada (SPO) is a professional responsible for ensuring that products meet certain thresholds of acceptability. This role requires a meticulous eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a thorough understanding of manufacturing processes and quality standards.
What You’ll Do- Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols and standards for electronic products.
- Conduct rigorous tests and inspections on products and components to ensure they meet quality specifications and compliance standards.
- Investigate and determine the root causes of defects or failures and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of quality standards, test results, inspection processes, nonconforming materials and corrective actions.
- Work closely with production and engineering teams to develop and refine product specifications and manufacturing processes.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement initiatives to enhance product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
- Liaise with customers to understand their quality requirements and feedback, ensuring expectations are met or exceeded.
- Ensure all products meet industry regulations and standards, such as ISO, RoHS, and IPC standards.
- Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. - Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in quality engineering within the electronics manufacturing industry.
- Quality-related certifications such as Six Sigma, ISO 9001, or CQE (Certified Quality Engineer) are highly desirable.
- Familiarity with IPC A 610 / J STD 001 standards.
- Proficiency in quality assurance methodologies, data and statistical analysis, and quality control software. MS Excel.
- Excellent problem‑solving abilities, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in cross‑functional teams.
- Attention to detail:
Ability to meticulously review and analyze products, components, and processes to identify any deviations or defects. - Strong analytical skills:
Ability to collect and interpret data, making informed decisions based on statistical analysis. - Proficiency in identifying issues, determining root causes, and implementing effective corrective actions.
- Clear and effective communication skills to articulate quality standards, processes, and findings to various stakeholders.
- In‑depth knowledge of electronic manufacturing processes, materials, and industry standards.
