Please note this role will work in a hybrid environment. The successful candidate must be located near a Canadian Blood Services site and will be working a mixture of on‑site and off‑site work based on the parameters for our operations to meet the needs of our donors, our staff and our communities. Currently, employees are expected to have an in‑person presence for at least 40% of their work time.

Aboutthe role
Canadian Blood Services is looking for a Temporary Full-time Project Management Lead - Quality Management System to join our dynamic Quality Management System (QMS) team.
The QMS team provides leadership in advancing and maturing our quality management system, enabling the organization through effective, efficient, and timely services as well as subject‑matter expertise in quality and regulatory matters.
In this role, you will report to the Associate Director, Quality Improvement and serve as the primary liaison between stakeholders, quality teams, and operational units to drive continuous improvement and ensure compliance with established quality standards. You will lead and manage quality improvement projects from initiation through completion, monitor progress, prepare reports, and communicate updates to leadership and key stakeholders as required.
You will also support efficiency improvements within established QMS processes, leveraging your strong understanding of applicable Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) as defined by regulatory bodies. Your expertise in the theory and application of Design Control and Project Management Life Cycle will be critical to effectively integrating these principles within the Quality Management System.
Formula for success- Leveraging your skills in project quality planning and execution, you will develop and maintain project Quality Plans and provide training and guidance to project teams on quality expectations (e.g., change management, quality event management, document management).
- Applying your skills in quality system integration and application, you will identify, integrate, and apply core quality elements such as design controls, process controls, cost of quality, and auditing.
