Resource Innovations is seeking a demand side management (DSM) research and evaluation consultant to join our growing energy research and program evaluation teams in Canada and the United States. The DSM Research and Evaluation Consultant will work within the Advisory Services business unit that provides empirically based research and program evaluations, with a focus on behavioral elements, to support energy efficiency programs and energy transition efforts in Canada and the United States.

The position will be part of our Consumer Behavior team and will work closely with our Research and Process Evaluation team. The consultant will support studies for energy industry clients to inform market-facing energy efficiency programs and energy
transformation initiatives through data collection and analysis, while also contributing to research and evaluation planning, reporting, task management, and client engagement.
The position is well-suited for candidates with analytical and research skills. The consultant position requires two or more years of relevant work experience with knowledge of DSM program evaluation principles or market research, behavioral science, energy efficiency, and energy efficiency programs. Experience in survey and interview-based research and quantitative or qualitative analysis are desirable. Familiarity with programming surveys in Qualtrics or with statistical software packages such as R are a plus.

Requirements
Contribution to overall study-level research and evaluation planning. Development of surveys and interview guides and associated implementation plans.
Data collection through secondary research, surveys and interviews, support conducting group interviews and moderating focus groups, and acquisition of market data from public and purchased sources.
Analysis of data gathered using statistical techniques and qualitative analysis, application of established net-to-gross algorithms, and policy analysis.
Contribute to memos and draft reports, presentation of results, and development of actionable recommendations for clients. Support presentation to and engagement with clients.
Manage tasks (with peer support) and support management of projects.
