Description
As a Senior Software Developer on the platform team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our Observability infrastructure - which includes system health and performance monitoring, log collection and analytics, tracing, metrics and dashboards in a distributed software environment. You will work closely with development teams to ensure the platform is reliable, scalable, and efficient. You will act as an Observability evangelist and your expertise will drive our platform and system management transformation strategy.
Responsibilities
Ability to handle new technologies, languages, and frameworks while collaborating across all of JSI
Implement and guide the observability of software components
Implement monitoring, logging, tracing and alerting solutions to ensure the health and performance of software. Diagnose and resolve issues with a mindset to keeping the system up and responsive for end users.
Work closely with development teams to understand requirements to improve the observability of their code. Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
Create and maintain documentation for infrastructure, processes, and procedures. Provide training and support to team members as needed.
Qualifications
Software Engineering, Computer Science degree or equivalent
