About the Opportunity

Our reputable client has an Immediate requirement for a Senior Firmware Engineer to join their team onsite in Ottawa. This is a great opportunity to be part of a well-established Organization where you will play a critical role in developing firmware for embedded IoT products. The ideal candidate will have significant experience with C Programming Language and Bare-Metal programming
.

Duties include but are not limited to:

Developing Embedded firmware that will run on Embedded IoT products

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define software requirements

Design, code, integrate, debug and document software that is scalable, robust, and performant

Develop new features on an ongoing, incremental basis

Implement low power algorithms

About You

The successful candidate will have the following:

Degree from a recognized university or community college with an acceptable specialization in computer, electrical engineering, systems engineering, computer science or information systems

Must have 6+ years of experience developing embedded software in C and have strong Bare-metal programming expertise

Knowledge of ARM/INTEL based microcontrollers (STM
32 MCUs highly desirable)

Experience with communications protocols, such as TCP/IP, BLE, SPI, UART/RS232, RS485, I2C,

Experience with FreeRTOS, Bare-metal, Wireless, Bluetooth, GPS, RF, Lo Ra technologies will make someone standout.

Strong team player, collaborative, self sufficient, able to work

Must be able to work onsite
