About the Opportunity

We are currently sourcing a Senior Software Engineer (SRE) for our west-end client. HQ'd in Kanata, this software company is a leader in the domain and has several offices worldwide to serve their global client base. Reporting to the Software Development Manager, this person will join a growing agile team of skilled Software Engineers and Kubernetes Platform Engineers in the development of a mission-critical, AI-enabled digital intelligence solution.

Specifically, this individual will be tasked with the design, implementation, and maintenance of their Observability infrastructure in order to optimize system health, performance and scalability. Above all, they value attitude and aptitude over the perfect technical fit.

This is a permanent position with one of the region's top employers. Although this company is known for their socially-relevant product/technology and progressive culture/work-life balance, they also offer a comprehensive perks package in addition to salary. They employ a hybrid model consisting of two days/week in-office, therefore, only candidates local to the Ottawa region will be considered.

About You

The successful candidate will have the following:

B.S. degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or similar field

7+ years of software engineering experience with a strong background in software development (C# or Java preferred) as well as extensive SRE and CI/CD infrastructure experience with particular expertise in Kubernetes, Docker, etc.

Expertise in microservices architecture, containerization and observability as well as experience with CI/CD, IaC, and tools such as Helm, Prometheus, Grafana, Ansible, Terraform, Chef, Puppet, ELK stack, Rancher, Loki, etc.

Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills; ability to thrive autonomously as well as within a team

Ability to obtain Canadian Top-Secret Clearance

About the Job

Our client is offering a competitive salary between $110k-$130k depending on experience, bonus, a generous vacation allotment, RRSP matching, and a comprehensive benefits package.
