ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITYWithin the Wind River Cloud team, we work with large-scale projects like Kubernetes, Docker,Open Stackand fast-paced Open-Source technologies that are in high demand from our customers.

Wind River Cloud has adopted these technologies into the core of our product, which is driving us to find experienced and high-performing individuals that can learn and contribute to these container and virtualization  addition, Wind River Cloud team is a leading contributor to the Open Source Starling Xcloud  native project, to manage andmaintainthe critical infrastructure for highly distributed Edge solutions, including 5G, Autonomous Vehicles, Industrial Automation and Augmented Reality.

You are expected to be versatileandable to thrive in a dynamicenvironment. You are comfortable managing competing priorities andcanbring order to ambiguous scenarios. Maturity, impeccable judgment, and the ability to influence and lead are essential to success in this role.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop software for a complete cloud infrastructure software stack.
  • Develop high quality designs and code based on Kubernetes, containerized applications, distributed cloud systems, and cloud infrastructure management.
  • Work as part of a team focused on containerizationand fault tolerant/carrier grade development.
  • Work with the most dynamic and exciting open-source software projects today – Kubernetes,Open Stack,Kube Virt, Helm, Ansible, Puppet,OSTree.
  • Develop anddeliver platform upgrade features with high quality design and code.
  • Stay current with the latest advancements in Open Stack and related core.technologies, incorporating them into the platform where appropriate.
  • Investigate andresolve issues reported during product verification
  • Participate in all aspects of the software development process using agile development.
  • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor/Master degreein

    Computer Scienceorrelated field.
  • 5+years ofprofessionalsoftware developmentexperiencewith Bachelor’s
  • 3+yearsof professionalexperience in developing infrastructure softwarefor highly scalable and distributed systems, working with Kubernetes and Helm charts
  • 2+ years ofprogramming experience with

    C/C++and Python
  • 1+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns,reliabilityand scaling) of new and current systems.
  • DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
  • Deep understanding of Open Stack architecture and components, including Nova, Neutron, Cinder, Keystone, and others.
  • Track recordof building and delivering mission critical, 24x7 production software systems.
  • Contribution toOpenStack communityor related other open-source projects.
  • Deepknowledge of Cloud storagesolutions.
  • Working knowledge in L2/L3 networkingand OVS.
  • C/C++ network programming.
  • Experience with Debian packaging,OSTree.
  • Strong senseof ownership, urgency, and drive.
  • Passion for mentoring other developing engineers
  • Strong analytical and debugging skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
