Wind River Systems is building Wind River Studio for Operators, delivering an integrated cloud platform, unifying infrastructure, orchestration, and analytics capabilities so operators can deploy and manage their intelligent 5G edge networks globally. Wind River Systems is seeking an experienced, high‑performing Senior Engineer Software Engineer developing distributed cloud‑based orchestration and automation platform solutions for the intelligent edge.

• Design and implement automated test suites for cloud infrastructure components
• Use open‑source test tools such as PyTest, Robot Framework, and Selenium
• Apply Test‑Driven Development (TDD) principles to validate code early and often
• Collaborate with developers to define testable requirements and edge cases
• Investigate and resolve issues during product verification and customer integration
• Maintain test environments using Kubernetes, Helm, and Docker
• Utilize Linux and shell scripting for automation and diagnostics
• Stay current with Open Stack advancements and incorporate them into testing strategies
• Participate in agile development processes, with the ability to shift between testing, development, and automation roles as needed
• Work with open‑source software responsibly, including understanding licensing models and managing CVEs
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and fault‑tolerant testing strategies

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or related field
• 3+ years of professional experience in test engineering or QA automation
• 1+ years of scripting experience with Python
• Experience with Linux systems and shell scripting
• Excellent analytical, debugging, and communication skills
• Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive
• Track record of maintaining high‑quality standards in production environments
• Experience testing infrastructure software for scalable, distributed systems
• 2+ years professional experience testing and deploying software utilizing Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm

• Deep understanding of Open Stack architecture (Nova, Neutron, Cinder, Keystone)
• Contributions to Open Stack or other open‑source communities
• Familiarity with Rabbit

• Experience managing open‑source licensing and CVE remediation
• CI/CD automation experience using Jenkins for building, deploying, and testing container‑based applications
• 2+ years experience working as part of cross‑functional Agile SCRUM teams
• Professional experience working as part of globally dispersed engineering teams
