Lumentum seeks a Process Automation Software Engineer for its Ottawa team. You will support MEMS wafer systems through software design, development, debugging, and maintenance. The work connects software with instrumentation, electronics, physics, devices, and manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:- Design software for new automated stations from system requirements
- Develop software integrating instruments, sensors, and equipment
- Support stations through deployment and high-volume production
- Investigate and resolve software, equipment, and process issues
- Apply documentation, unit testing, and continuous integration practices
- Engineering or computer science degree in a related field
- Meaningful experience designing, implementing, debugging, and maintaining software
- Experience developing software interacting with hardware or instruments
- Strong problem-solving skills and careful quality-focused approach
- Curiosity across software, physics, electronics, and manufacturing
