Responsibilities of the Position

Responsible for the operation and safety of the aircraft they command and for all those on board during the flight;

Assist in monitoring onboard geophysical equipment;

Complete preflight inspections and postflight reports;

Liaise with foreign aviation authorities;

For each flight, become familiar with: the planned route/flight plan; the aerodromes planned for normal and emergency use, and the survey navigation equipment and ensure that it is in working order.

Ensure the following has been met: the flight as planned can be made safely; and the aircraft equipment including emergency, survival and safety equipment are installed.

Qualifications and Experience

A valid commercial pilot´s licence with group 1 instrument rating;

A minimum of 1,000 total hours;

Must have a valid passport or the ability to obtain a valid passport for the purpose of traveling globally;

Valid driver's licence;

Must be willing to travel to our global survey sites;

Low level survey flying experience an asset;

International flying experience an asset;

Experience on Cessna Grand Caravans; and

Additional languages an asset.
