The Registered Practical Nurse performs the functions of a Registered Practical Nurse by assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating all assigned resident care in collaboration with a Registered Nurse, according to established standards, policies and procedures.

• Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Practical Nurse
• Certificate in Administration of Medication & Aseptic Procedures from a recognized college/institution
• Experience in a long Term Care setting
• Knowledge of pertinent Long Term Care legislation
• Post graduate courses in Gerontology, Physical Assessment or related/equivalent courses are an asset, as is experience with classification/documentation

• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills, with emphasis on diplomacy and tact
• Well‑developed organizational skills and demonstrated ability to work interdependently

• Competitive Wages: $36.50 per hour
