Receptionist/Administrative Assistant

Location: Watlington Primary School, part of Acer Trust
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 25 hours per week
Salary: Grade 5 (£25,583 - £26,403) actual salary £14,460.)
Start date: As soon as possible

We are seeking a friendly, organised and reliable Administrative Assistant to join our school office team. This is a varied and rewarding role at the heart of the school, providing essential administrative and front‑of‑house support to pupils, parents, staff and visitors.

You will be one of the first points of contact for the school will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day‑to‑day running of administrative functions. The role requires good communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to work in a busy school environment.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience in an administrative or office‑based role, ideally within a school or similar setting
  • Is confident using IT systems and willing to learn school‑specific software (e.g. MIS systems)
  • Communicates clearly and professionally with adults and children
  • Is well organised, reliable and able to manage competing priorities
  • Works well as part of a team and is willing to support colleagues
  • Is discreet and understands the importance of confidentiality

Experience in a school environment and knowledge of Bromcom or similar systems would be an advantage, but full training will be provided.
