About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced General Foreman to play a key role in the successful delivery of a major civil engineering project in the Didcot area. This is a hands-on leadership position, responsible for supervising site operations, coordinating labour and subcontractors, and ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to programme.

Key Responsibilities

* Day-to-day supervision of site activities, operatives and subcontractors

* Ensuring works are carried out in line with programme, drawings and specifications

* Enforcing high standards of health & safety, quality and environmental compliance

* Coordinating plant, materials and labour to maintain productivity

* Supporting site management and engineering teams with planning and sequencing of works

* Delivering toolbox talks, briefings and daily activity plans

* Monitoring progress and reporting issues or risks to site management

* Maintaining good communication across all site teams

Requirements

* Proven experience as a General Foreman or Senior Supervisor within civil engineering

* Strong background in infrastructure works (earthworks, drainage, structures, highways or similar)

* Sound knowledge of construction methods, health & safety legislation and best practice

* Ability to lead teams, motivate operatives and manage subcontractors

* Strong organisational and communication skills

* SMSTS / SSSTS, CSCS (Gold or Black) preferred
