General Foreman

General Foreman - Highways Project

We are currently seeking an experienced General Foreman to join a Highways project. This is a key site-based role, supporting the Works Manager and ensuring the safe, efficient delivery of works on site.

Key Responsibilities

· Supervision and coordination of subcontractor works on site

· Day-to-day management of Health & Safety, ensuring works are carried out in line with the agreed Safe Systems of Work

· Reviewing and approving subcontractor RAMS

· Completing and maintaining a detailed site diary

· Leading and participating in morning task briefings

· Producing, issuing and briefing Permits to Work

· Carrying out Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) site inspections

· Providing general assistance to the Works Manager with daily site operations

Requirements

· Proven experience as a General Foreman on highway construction projects

· CSCS Gold or Black Card

· SSSTS or SMSTS certification

· First Aid at Work qualification

· Strong knowledge of health and safety procedures within highways environments

· Good communication skills and the ability to manage subcontractors effectively
