One of the UK's leading construction consultancies are currently seeking a dynamic and forward thinking Senior Building Surveyor to join their growing Oxford office, working as part of a collaborative, multi disciplinary team.
My client are expanding their Building Surveying offering due to continued success and a strong pipeline of work across a wide variety of sectors. This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Building Surveyor looking for career progression, increased visibility and the chance to make a genuine impact within a values led consultancy.
The Senior Building Surveyor RoleThe successful Senior Building Surveyor will work across a diverse range of projects, ensuring you are not pigeonholed into one sector. Schemes span commercial, residential, education, healthcare, heritage and both public and private sector developments.
You will work closely with the Building Surveying Partner, alongside Project Managers and Quantity Surveyors, leading projects, managing client relationships and contributing to the growth of the Oxford office. This role combines hands on technical delivery with leadership, client advisory and mentoring responsibilities.
Duties of the Senior Building Surveyor to include:- Leading detailed site inspections, identifying defects and advising on remedial solutions
- Preparing high quality reports with clear, robust recommendations
- Delivering and leading projects across multiple sectors including residential, healthcare, education and heritage
- Acting as a trusted advisor to clients, contractors and stakeholders
- Ensuring compliance with building regulations, statutory requirements and health and safety legislation
- MRICS qualified or working towards chartership
- Proven experience within a construction consultancy environment
- Strong client facing and project delivery capability
- In depth knowledge of health and safety legislation
- Commercially astute with a balanced, value driven approach
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- £50,000 - £65,000
- Hybrid and flexible working arrangements
- 38 days annual leave including public holidays
