Senior Geospatial Surveyor SummaryA Built Environment Consultancy helping clients transform the quality and sustainability of the built environment has an exciting opportunity for a talented Senior Geospatial Surveyor to join their multi-disciplinary consultancy office in Oxford.
Working with a wide range of clients to manage their property portfolios, projects and transactions across projects including large residential, industrial and commercial schemes with contract values over £30 million to much smaller schemes.
This is an exciting opportunity to help drive the development and expansion of the Geospatial discipline within the business and work amongst a keen and driven young group of professionals to diversify our existing client base and promote further success of the team.
The role requires a combination of working within a team office environment whilst also carrying out on site surveying on a range of sites and projects. There is a requirement to travel to sites and sometimes work away from home for short periods. Depending on workload and project requirements there may occasionally be a need to work shifts or out of hours.
Asa Senior Geospatial Surveyor you will
- Liaise directly with clients - managing project timescales and co-ordination of resources to meet deadlines.
- Be a team leader - understanding of team management / resources and accounting for meeting monthly team targets.
- Bid for new work and opportunities and liaising with new and current contacts.
- Undertake topographical surveys using the latest in robotic total station and GPS technology.
- Process and analyse topographical survey data to create 2D / 3D topographical surveys using N4CE and AutoCAD.
- Undertake measured building surveys using a variety of specialist laser scanning equipment including the Leica P40, Leica RTC
360, Nav Vis VLX and MLX. - Register & process laser scan survey data into usable point cloud data using Leica Cyclone and Faro Scene.
- Analyse data using plans, maps, charts and software such as AutoCAD and GIS.
- Prepare survey drawings from survey data using AutoCAD.
- Present data to clients and writing reports.
- Mentor and support junior team members to develop their knowledge and skills in surveying.
- A relevant technical degree / HND in surveying is preferred but not essential.
- Full clean diving license is required.
- Demonstrated proficiency in operating survey instruments such as Leica Total Stations, Leica P40, Leica RTC
360, Leica BLK2GO, and Nav Vis VLX, or comparable equipment, is required. - Experienced user of AutoCAD.
- Experience in using Leica Cyclone or Register 360 to process laser scan datasets is essential. Similar software packages such as Trimble Realworks or Faro Scene are also acceptable.
- Skilled in using N4ce, or similar, to process and develop Topographical Surveys.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively alone or as part of a team.
- £40,000 - £45,000 plus package including.
- 25 days pa, plus the option to buy, carry over or sell.
