The Software Support role will develop and implement automation solutions to streamline configuration, setup, and management of critical systems, including production systems, servers, NTP, FTP, and emulators. Your contribution will help to enhance operational efficiency, reduce manual errors, and ensure reliable, repeatable system deployments.

• Automation Development
  :
  Design, develop, and test automation scripts/tools for:
  • Configuration of production systems, instruments and servers.
  • Deployment and configuration of NTP servers for time synchronization.
  • Installation and configuration of emulators for testing/simulation.
• Integration and Testing
  :
  Integrate automation solutions with existing systems, validate functionality, and ensure reliability through rigorous testing.
• Documentation
  :
  Create clear, comprehensive documentation for all automation scripts, including setup guides, usage instructions, and troubleshooting steps.
• Collaboration
  :
  Work closely with system administrators, engineers, and stakeholders to understand requirements, resolve issues, and ensure alignment with project goals.
• Maintenance and Support
  :
  Provide ongoing support for deployed automation tools, addressing bugs or updates as needed during the contract period.
• Progress Reporting
  :
  Participate in regular progress reviews (e.g., bi-weekly) to update stakeholders on task completion and address any blockers.

You will have proven experience in software development, automation or system administration, together with a track record of delivering automation projects within time constraints. It is essential that you have experience with python and Bash, as well as knowledge of server set up and administration in a Linux/Windows environment and configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef or Docker.
