Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst to join a growing team in Oxford
. The successful candidate will be responsible for analysing complex datasets, producing actionable insights, and supporting business decision-making across multiple departments.

This role is ideal for a data professional who is comfortable working with stakeholders, presenting findings clearly, and translating data into meaningful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities Data Analysis & Insights

• Collect, clean, and analyse structured and unstructured datasets
• Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies to support business decisions
• Deliver actionable insights through reports, dashboards, and presentations
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity

Reporting & Visualisation

• Develop and maintain dashboards using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar
• Produce regular and ad-hoc reports for senior stakeholders
• Translate complex data findings into clear, understandable insights

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Work closely with business and technical teams to understand data requirements
• Support departments with data-driven recommendations
• Present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences

Data Governance & Best Practices

• Follow data governance, security, and compliance standards
• Maintain documentation for datasets, reports, and processes
• Support continuous improvement of data analysis processes

Required Skills & Experience (Must Have)

• 1–4+ years of experience in a Data Analyst or similar role
• Strong experience with:
• SQL for data extraction and analysis
• Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables)
• Data visualisation tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
• Solid understanding of:
• Data analysis methodologies
• Data quality and validation practices
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Preferred / Advantageous Skills

• Experience with programming languages such as Python or R
• Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (Azure, AWS – advantage)
• Experience working in Agile or cross-functional environments
• Exposure to data warehousing or ETL processes

Education & Certifications

• Bachelor’s degree in:
• Data Analytics
• Computer Science
• IT
• Mathematics
• Or a related field
• Relevant certifications (advantage):
• Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst
• Google Data Analytics
• IBM Data Analyst or equivalent
