Aircraft Fitter
Recruitment for Aircraft Fitters on behalf of our prestigious client based at RAF Brize Norton.
Location:
RAF Brize Norton, Brize Norton, England, United Kingdom.
Base pay range: (details to be discussed during recruitment).
Responsibilities- Compliance with organisational policies and procedures detailed in the supporting manuals.
- Identifying and rectifying existing and potential unsafe conditions.
- Maintaining the work environment in a clean and safe manner using a “clean as you go” approach.
- Complying with the company Safety Management System (SMS) occurrence reporting procedures.
- Complying with the safety policy.
- Completing aircraft paperwork to a high standard.
- Awareness of COSHH, Working at Height and Manual Handling safety requirements.
- Actively embracing a Continuous Improvement (CI) culture.
Responsible for the maintenance of the aircraft and safe use of ground equipment, accurately navigating and interpreting aircraft maintenance documentation, and carrying out aircraft modifications and light structural work if required.
Candidate Essential Requirements- Valid aircraft standards‑based qualification (Apprenticeship or NVQ Level
3) or aircraft‑related academic qualification/traineeship with a minimum of 3 years recorded experience, or the capacity to satisfy the Training / Maintenance management team. - Current Human Factor initial and refresher, EWIS and SFAR 88 certificate.
- Knowledge of aeronautical regulations.
- Right to live and work in the United Kingdom.
- Fluency in English, written and verbal.
- Ability to obtain full SC security clearance.
- Experience on A400M, propeller or wide‑body aircraft.
- Previous exposure to Air Nav and Amos.
- Knowledge of Military Aviation Authority (MAA) MRP Part 145 regulations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with good interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to work as part of a team.
- Self‑initiative and demonstrated leadership skills.
- Proficient organisational skills and efficient work habits.
- IPAF/MEWP familiarisation.
- 5×5×4 shift, approximately 40 hours per week with potential overtime – 07:00 to 19:00.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided and mandatory.
- Duration: 6‑month rolling contract (long‑term).
