Technical Account Representative (Biotech / Molecular Biology)

We are looking for a recent graduate with a Master’s or PhD in Life Sciences who is confident with laboratory skills in cell biology, immunology, biochemistry, or molecular biology. As a Technical Account Representative you will act as the bridge between customers and internal teams, working closely with Sales, Production, Project Management, Marketing, Logistics, and Finance departments. You will engage in preliminary discussions with customers, understand their projects, and provide accurate, customized quotations and solutions.
Working Scheme: Hybrid in Oxford, UK
Working Time: 40 hours per week
Contract Duration: Fixed term for 2 years
- Take full charge of daily operations of the customer service function, handling initial inquiries from customers, dealers, and the public about order placement, complaints, and technical support.
- Provide primary technical advice to customers, identify and interpret their requirements, shape them to fit business unit capabilities, and communicate these to customers.
- Act as a consultant to clients in technical matters in collaboration with the Sales Account Manager, improving customer satisfaction.
- Attend trade/technical shows and give technical presentations to customers.
- Solid professional technical background, minimum master’s degree in relevant life science fields (cell biology, immunology, biochemistry, or molecular biology).
- Proficiency in laboratory techniques: DNA cloning, plasmid preparation, protein expression (E. coli, HEK, CHO, insect, cell‑free), protein purification, Western blot, ELISA.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
- Good communication and presentation skills with technical content.
- Customer‑focused, proactive/action‑oriented.
- Previous industry experience in a similar commercial role is advantageous but not essential.
