Relief Security Officer

Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services is recruiting for a Relief Security Officer
.

• Protect customers' property, people, and assets by providing security services in accordance with Assignment Instructions and any subsequent changes.
• Deliver results that meet or exceed Key Performance Indicators / Service Level Agreements, ensuring accountability and aiding contract retention.
• Maintain compliance with all policies, UK law, and regulatory requirements as directed by the Security Account Manager.
• Complete all tasks and duties on site as defined in the Assignment Instructions.
• Review Assignment Instructions proactively, suggesting amendments to improve service levels.
• Ensure compliance with industry and statutory legislation, holding the required front‑line licence (Security Guarding or Door Supervision) and the CCTV PSS SIA Licence at all times.
• Follow instructions and procedures appropriately without unnecessarily challenging authority.
• Work systematically, methodically, and in an orderly fashion.
• Use common sense and initiative, involving others if a situation becomes threatening.
• Maintain professional conduct in challenging situations and with customers.
• Complete accurate, detailed notebook entries for incidents, supporting the Incident Report process.
• Keep to schedules, demonstrating commitment to Mitie and the client.
• Ensure check calls are carried out at the allocated time slot as stipulated in the Assignment Instructions.
• Call emergency services and the Communication Centre to report all incidents.

• Complete all required competency training.
• Undergo additional training for continuous self‑development as directed by the Security Account Manager.
• Use technology to achieve key work objectives and develop job knowledge.
• Renew licence 16 weeks before expiry.

• Previous security experience.
• SIA licence.
• SC clearance desirable.
