I’m working with an innovative engineering technology company looking for an exceptional Software Engineering Director to define and execute their software strategy, leading a talented team in delivering high‑quality solutions that power complex industrial measurement systems.

• Owning and driving a coherent software strategy across the business.
• Leading three software competence managers specialising in C#, Lab View, and Python.
• Partnering with architects to design scalable, reliable, and maintainable software systems.
• Integrating software with hardware in a dynamic, multi‑disciplinary development environment.

• Extensive experience in team leadership and people management.
• Management of software engineering managers, multiple teams and products.
• Proven track record in software development for machine tools, desktop applications, and real‑time control systems.
• Experience integrating software with evolving hardware across cross‑functional teams.
• Strong agile/lean methodology experience in multi‑disciplinary environments.
• Deep knowledge of software development cycles and programming best practices.

This is predominantly an onsite role with some work‑from‑home flexibility.
