Junior Foreman PositionRole Overview:
A Junior Foreman works under the guidance of a Project Manager or Senior Foreman to ensure work is completed safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Supervision: Overseeing the work of construction crews, subcontractors, and laborers.
- Coordination: Coordinating daily activities to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Safety: Ensuring that all work is done safely and in accordance with safety regulations.
- Resource Management: Managing materials, equipment, and personnel to meet project requirements.
- Communication: Communicating effectively with the project team, subcontractors, and higher-level supervisors.
- Problem-Solving: Identifying and resolving issues that may arise on the job site.
- Progress Reporting: Providing regular updates on the status of their assigned work areas.
- Compliance: Ensuring that work complies with relevant regulations and standards.
- Site Overall: Ensure that the site is clean at all times.
Role Overview:
A Senior Foreman is responsible for overall site management, ensuring projects run efficiently, safely and to the highest standards. The role requires strong supervisory experience, solid technical knowledge and familiarity with relevant scopes of work to successfully lead site operations and project execution.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Project Oversight: Overseeing and coordinating the implementation of all tasks on the construction site.
- Safety Management: Implementing and enforcing safety regulations and ensuring a safe working environment.
- Resource Management: Managing equipment, materials, and labour resources.
- Personnel Management: Managing employees, local labour, and subcontractors.
- Quality Control: Ensuring the quality of work meets project specifications and industry standards.
- Schedule Coordination: Scheduling and coordinating the work of site operatives to ensure timely project completion.
- Communication: Daily communication with all parties involved.
- Problem Solving and Site Time Management: Addressing issues promptly and managing site time effectively.
