Role Overview

As a Team Member, your main focus will be front of house, dealing directly with people. You'll welcome and look after everyone who comes to the caf. With your love of working with people, your 'can-do' attitude and your desire to provide an outstanding service, you'll be making sure everyone has an enjoyable time. This is a lively business that's constantly on the go, so teamwork and adaptability are crucial.

You’ll be keen to understand what people want, to help them and to make recommendations. You’ll always keep the standards of food and drink preparation and presentation high. Using your excellent eye for detail, you’ll make sure all displays and signs are accurate and looking good. At times, you may need to help the kitchen team with preparing food.

We’ll give you an induction that fits the job, and training in allergens and food safety, plus any mentoring needed to help you in your role. You can sign up for further professional training and development if you wish.

Contract & Salary

Contract type: zero‑hour contract – we cannot guarantee a set number of hours each week, but aim to be consistent and give notice as far as possible. The role includes weekends and Bank Holidays but does not require evening or split shifts. Contract duration:
Fixed Term Contract until 31‑Dec‑2026. Salary: £12.25 per hour. For this role, you’ll need to complete our online assessment instead of using a CV or online application form.
